New Art

This is my year end art project that i just finished. I really like how it turned out. I like the black and white, with the color mixed in. I am happy with it.

Life in our world

We are still doing our big project were we are trying to show others our life in Saskatchewan.

In this picture i am trying to show community by showing dance as my community. I pretty muhc live at the dance studio and i love it. This picture also resembles me because i started off very young and then moved up onto pointe and bigger kid ballet.

This is also another picture of communtiy and explaining myself. i really like this picture because if you can see, each girl is wearing a different type of dance shoe, and this also shows that i dance every type of dance and i wear all these shoes.

I took this picture to show landscape and saskatchewan. we have lots of transportation by trains and many many train tracks everywhere. Also this picture shows the landscape.
I took this picture to show dance community again. This is pretty much my life. these are the people i dance with and my teachers, they are the greatest. i would have to say that dance is a huge part of my life and my other community.

I took this picture to show saskatchewan on a nice summery day. it also shows our landscapes how it is pretty flat, but it can also look really nice. i really like how this picture turned out.

I took this picture to show family. This is a picture of a brother and sister that i babysit, and they are awesome. i like how i got them to hold hands and i think that this picture turned out well.

I took this picture to show landscape and how we do alot of farming in Saskatchewan. Farming is a huge part and when living in the prairies, we see lots of tracters and landscapes. i really like this picture with all the coloring and things.

i took this picture to show family and relationships. there are many relationships here and sometimes they can start at a young age or even old age. they are all over. i like how this picture turned out. i think it has good framing.

Newspaper assignment

This is my newspaper assignment. I decided to use comics from the newspaper for this. I love reading comics expecially garfield. I think there funny and sometimes retarded. I like how this assignment turned out. I like how garfiled sticks out from the page because he is very bright. I llike how this turned out.

This is to go along with the other project we are doing. These pictures are for the people around the world who are going to be joining us on blogger. i really like the pictures i have taken so far and i hope that the other people do too and i hope that they think that where we live is a cool place to live and be.

We have a lot of railways around here, and thats where a lot of our needs get transfered.

Our scenery in Saskatchewan is amazing. We have a lot of prairies and we get to see neat wildlife. It is sunny and vibrant. This picture was taken when all the geese are flying back.

This is a picture of a tracter just headin down the road. I took this picture to show that around here there is a lot of farming, and im not sure if other people around the world have even seen a tracter, so i thought that it would be interesting.

Good and Staged Photography!

In photography we had to take pictured with the big lights that we got. We had to take a picture of a person who is dressed in their everyday clothing and then more pictures of them staged and dressed way differently then they would. I decided to take pictures of my friend Brittanie. For the staged part of the project i dressed her up as a farmer. I did this because she doesnt like country and she would never want to be a farmer. These pictures turned out good, but i dont think that i would use the big lights again.

This is her when she is just herself and dressed in her everyday clothing.

This is my art project that i have been working on for a long time. it is a little cabnet that i paintded for my mom to put it in our bathroom. the color of our bathroom is the green color and it is accented with navy so thats why i decided to use green and navy as colors. It took me a long time because i painted everything by hand and the vines are very small and there are lots of them. I used acrylic paint. i used the sponge tecnique to make it a cooler effect. then i painted on the flowers and then vines, and then after the butterflies. i am really happy with how it turned out, and i hope that my mom likes it too.

As you all know, i am Amanda Melnychuk. I live in Clavet, Saskatchewan in Canada. This is another type of project that we are doing. We are to show others our from different areas are the world our life. We are to show everyday things that we see, what some challenges people go though, who we are, and family lifestyle. These pictures are mostly of everyday things, and some challenges. There will be more pictures to come. I have many ideas in my head. Hope people enjoy these and find them an interesting part of our area in the beautiful Saskatchewan. At the time, it is currently winter. So people can see how much snow we get, when they dont get snow.

This is a picture of our school buses. If you havent see them before, they are big yellow buses that come to students house each morning we have school, and take us to school. They are big and fun to ride in.

This is a picture of some young kids at school playing on the playground at recess. As you can see, they are dressed up in big snow suits. This is because it gets really cold here, for example up to -45 degress celcius. Really cold. It is starting to warm up, but we never know when more snow is going to come. Kids at our school like to have fun. These kids are good friends and get along with eachother well.

I took this picture to show the challenges that some people face. People will face these challenges pretty much everywhere, but i wanted to show some of the specific ones we have here. The major challenge that people face, is peer pressure. Lots of teens will give into peer pressure. For example, drinking and driving. If someone was to go to a party and drove to the party, they wouldnt be alowed to drink. But with lots of people coming up to them and telling them to have a drink, they want to have a good time, so then they will start drinking. It will get our of hand, and they will consumed to much alcohol. They will then get into their car and drive themselfs home, when they are not capable of driving. This is called drinking and driving. It is a very bad thing.

Another challenge that we face is bullying. There are some kids or teens who maybe just cant afford to have brand name clothes, so then they get verbally abused, or physically abused. At our school we try really hard for everyone to get along. i really like this picture. i was trying to show an older students beating on a younger student. I showed it as being more black than in color because black can represent sadness, so i showed the bullying part being a bad thing and how it is upsetting to see bullying happen.

I took this picture to show mostly snow. Snow is actually a beautiful thing. sometimes we can get warm weather but other times its really cold. I really like this picture, with the shadow and everything. It also shows all the footprints in the snow.

SCYAP Art Show Pieces

Everyone, On saturday February 26, clavet school grade 10,11, and 12 students are having an art show. It is at SCYAP downtown and we are very excited. Everyone come. It is from

This was an art piece that i drew last year, i love it. it was done in pencil, and it took me a while to get it down. I named it strngth for the art show, so hopefully people will like it. I am in love with dance, and i do pointe, so i thought this would be a good thing for me to draw.

This was another piece that i did last year. It wasnt originally suppost to be crumpled up, but i folded it one day to go in my bag. So the other day, i crumpled the whole thing, and i like it. I names it angel in the making. Just becuase of the crumples. She has to get rid of the creases in ther life kind of thing.

This is the piece that i have been working on this year and i started about a month ago. I really like the way it turned out. Its called life after school, and the saying represent things after school but also while your in school. lately i have been thinkin about what im going to do after high school, so i thought that while it is on my mind, i would do an art piece about it. this is how it turned out. I am pretty excited.

In the Process...

These are my paintings for a big art project that we are doing. The Grade 10, 11, and 12 art students having an art show a SCYAP downtown in the city. Its going to be very fun. In these paintings i have a school theme and what i have been thinking about doing after i graduate. These pictures explain the roads you can take are graduation, solving your problems by moving out of your house, and using your words of wisdom to get you through. This one explans the maps and all the different roads you can take. Its not done yet, but almost.

This picture shows the equations of life, and solving them on your own. this picture isnt done yet. It isnt quite turning out how i want it right now, but hopefully i can be able to fix it and make it work.

This picture shows words of a story. I actually used the words from the book to "Kill a Mockingbird". I chose to use this story because the story is a very significant book on how others help eachother. This painting also isnt done yet, but soon to be.

These are the three pictures together. They do go together in a group so when they are both done it should be good. Hopefully things work out and they will look good. The things that i still have to do are finish the girls face, make all the black part very bold, and write the words on each picture. IM quite excited to see how its going to look.

Believe!!

In this assignment, we were to pick one word and take pictures of what we think will represnt that word. I chose to take pictures of my friend Melissa Senger. We went on the Railroad track above the river and took pictures. I had her look through to see the water. She is afraid of heights, so i wanted her to go up high and face her fear, so then she can "believe" in herself to go up high and hang above water!!
I took this picture of my friend Shelby Bentley and Spencer Mault. I chose to take this pictures because they are in a relationship together and i wanted to show that they believe in each other to get through a healthy relationship. I love this picture, i think its one of my favorites.

I like this picture because it shows that they are really happy being together. Sometimes realtionships can be tough and there can be fights or problems but people get over them, and these two really believe that if there is something wrong, they can get over it!!

This one picture shows that she is hanging off the railroad into the water. I have to say this was pretty scary but it looks really cool and it turned out good. I also really like this picture a lot.

For photography, in the month of December our project was to take a pictuer a day for 30 days. Most of my pictures consisted of christmas, family and what the month of December is all about. Here are some of the pictures. This was a fun assignment!!
